The Nepalese cricket festival’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) has been announced to start on 30 November and run until 21 December 2024.

NPL is a major and most awaited cricket league in Nepal. The Cricket Association of Nepal is organizing the tournament. It is a professional T20 format league of Nepal. The league has eight teams named on provinces/cities-based franchise teams. The tournament will use a round-robin format, with the top teams advancing to the playoffs.

All matches will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal. Nepal Premier League has 8 teams in total, each with its marquee player. Karnali Yaks made the lowest bid of the eight franchises, at NRS 1 crore and 11 lakhs, while Pokhara Avengers made the most, at NRS 3 crore and 57 lakhs.

The iconic khukuri and a cricket bat are combined in the NPL emblem to symbolize the Gurkhas’ bravery and the essence of Nepalese cricket. The sun and moon from the flag, which represents the goal of promoting Nepal cricket internationally, and the flowing rivers, which reflect the unity that cricket fosters in the country, are also components that were influenced by Nepal’s national emblems.

The forthcoming Nepal Premier League’s goal to become the best in world cricket is symbolized by the NPL emblem, which was inspired by Mount Everest.

The Nepal Premier League will try to give Nepali cricket players a lot of visibility and a stage on which to display their extraordinary skills.
