TATA IPL 2025 Player retentions list is announced and IPL 2025 mega auction dates are about to be announced soon. All the teams have announced the IPL 2025 retained players list for their respective teams.
After all ten teams finalized their basic lines, the player retention deadline for the TATA Indian Premier League 2025 season ended on October 31, 2024. With a combined investment of INR 558.5 crore, the teams have kept 46 players.
Franchises were permitted to keep up to six players (Retention/Right to Match), with a maximum of five capped internationals and up to two uncapped Indian players, with a total salary ceiling of INR 120 crore available at the mega auction for each side to assemble a squad of 25 players.
The Rajasthan Royals, the first-season winners, and the Kolkata Knight Riders, the defending champions, have chosen to retain all six players. The Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained five players. In the meantime, four players have been retained by the Delhi Capitals, three by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and two by the Punjab Kings (PBKS).
PBKS enters the much-awaited, action-packed mega auction with the biggest purse, having amassed INR 110.5 crore.
