IPL 2025 Mega Auction in Jeddah: 1574 Players Signed up for 204 vacant Slots

The most awaited IPl 2025 mega auction date has been announced. Which will be held in Jeddah Saudi Arabia on November 24 & 25.    

This is the second year in a row that the auction has been held abroad; the first one was staged in Dubai ahead of the 2024 Indian Premier League.

TATA IPL 2025 Player Auction: 1574 Players Have Registered

An incredible 1574 players (1165 Indian and 409 foreign) registered to participate in the massive TATA IPL 2025 Player Auction, which will take place over two days on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, after the IPL player registration officially closed on November 4, 2024.

30 players from Associate Nations, 1,224 uncapped players, and 320 capped players are on the list.

Thirty are from Associate Nations, 1,224 are uncapped, and 320 are capped players. 48 of the capped players are from India, while the auction also includes 965 Indian uncapped players.

Big Stars for IPL 2025 Mega Auction

This year’s auction is anticipated to feature well-known Indian stars including Arshdeep Singh, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant.

With 70 spots reserved for players from abroad, the 10 teams have a total of Rs 641.5 million to spend on the 204 free spots.

At a total cost of Rs 558.5 crore, 46 players have been retained so far. Although each team was given Rs 120 crore to form their squads, the Punjab Kings ended up with the biggest purse at Rs 110.5 crore after keeping only two uncapped players, Prabhsimran Singh and Shashank Singh, for Rs 9.5 crore.

After keeping six players, the Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, have the smallest leftover purse at Rs 41 crore. The Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, have Rs 51 crore remaining after keeping six players.
